Not Gen z, but Gen z isn't having sex because of a number of factors that aren't really in their control: lack of third spaces, lack of social skills from covid/phones, more interactions mediated electronically (tinder, insta, etc). If you aren't in the top 15% of men, you literally do not exist on dating apps, the research on this is brutal, and it's not exactly a great environment for the women either because they're all competing over a small pool of men who have limitless options and usually have no interest in anything approaching a real relationship. There's also an increasing wage gap w men vs women. Bad economy has a polarizing effect on the dating environment bc women care about the financial status of their mates. And in some states in the US, limited access to abortion is a factor as well. 60% of women 18-25 are "in a relationship", 60% of men in that age bracket are not in and not seeking any kind of intimacy, relationship, or sex.
